Testing items

Before assigning a new or edited item to a course, check that it displays correctly by selecting Save & Preview (top right in the Simple Editor) or Preview ( Item Editor toolbar in the Advanced Editor ). Try working through the item.

Make sure:

• The wording is clear and at the right level.
• Solutions are correct and comprehensive (all correct answers are specified).
• The information is chunked into reasonably sized sections.

If possible, test the item with one or more students to get valuable feedback.
